Because
Trail is Home.

Four years in, I still have the same energy, commitment, and love for Trail, and I’m not finished yet. This has never been about the title for me; it’s about our community and its future.

COLLEEN JONES

for the Mayor of the City of Trail 2026
re-elect

MY WHY

My why is really quite simple: I love Trail! and that will always be my only agenda.

This is my home and I care deeply about the people who live, work, raise their families and build their lives here. Serving as Mayor has given me the opportunity to listen, learn, bring people together and speak up for our community when it matters. The work is not always easy, and there are issues that take time, persistence and difficult conversations. But I continue to believe in Trail and in what we can accomplish when we work together.

I still have the energy, commitment and desire to serve. There is more work I want to be part of and that is why I want to continue as Mayor.

And that is why I am asking for your support on Oct 17, 2026 please vote – Re-elect Colleen Jones for Mayor !

Platform

My priorities for Trail have always been about supporting our community at large. I want Trail to be a place for everyone, regardless of your health, wealth or stage of life.

In the last 4 years, I have listened to the the voices of many Trail residents, I have built important relationships and I have advocated for real change in our area.

My platform therefore aligns with those concerns I have heard most from you:

ACHIEVEMENTS

Over the last four years, Council and I have focused on the everyday work that makes a difference.

We updated Trail’s Official Community Plan after 20 years of stand still which, once advanced into approval, will help us plan our infrastructure, housing and services more strategically.

I also spent time meeting with BC Housing, Interior Health, and local groups to keep talking about what our neighbors need.

And we hired a City Planner to make sure all your concerns and good ideas actually get taken care of, instead of them just sitting on a shelf.

The result that stands closest to my heart was helping keep our downtown blood lab open after we heard it might close.

I spent a lot of time talking with neighbors, local doctors, and the people at Interior Health to find a way to save it.

By working together, we kept this important service right here in town, and it even helped start a new program at Selkirk College in Trail to train lab techs locally.

It’s a great example of what happens when we all look out for one another.

NEXT STEPS

This election should not be reduced to one issue.

The challenges around homelessness, addiction and public safety are real and I will continue working on them.

But Trail is so much more than that.

We have seniors who want to remain in the community they built. We have young families who need childcare and housing. We have businesses that want to grow. We have aging infrastructure that must be maintained. We have health-care services that need to be protected. We have economic opportunities ahead of us. And we have major projects already underway that I want to see through.

I have worked hard over the past four years to build relationships, advocate for Trail and move our community forward.

I still have the energy, commitment and desire to continue that work.

I love Trail and that will always be my only Agenda.
